Project involvement as independent consultant

  1. 1996 to 2002:  The Cayeli Concentrator in Eastern Turkey
    The Cayeli Concentrator treats approximately one million tons of a fine grained copper/zinc/pyrite ore. The original process lay-out had to be modified to improve product qualities and metal recoveries.
     

  2. 1997 to 2001:  The Antamina Concentrator in Peru
    The Antamina deposit hosts a copper and zinc scarn. Various bismuth minerals tend to contaminate copper concentrates.
    1997 to 1999 Leading the design team in process development, i.e. aiming for the production of saleable copper and zinc concentrates, the application of copper bismuth separation.
    1999 to 2000 Acted as the owner's representative on plant design at the Bechtel Engineering Office in San Francisco.
     

  3. 2000 to 2001:  The Duck Pond Deposit of Thundermin Resources.
    Process development and feasibility study for a concentrator of 2000 tpd capacity.
     

  4. Spring and Summer 2001:

    • The Lisheen Mine in Ireland
    • The Pyhasalmi Mine in Finland
    • The Tara Mine in Ireland

    Assessment of process and concentrator operations on behalf of Inmet Mining Corporation.
     

  5. 2002 to 2003:  The Sustut Mine of Double Star Resources
    Process development for a blending operation. Sustut ores are to be blended into the feed stream of a custom milling operation.
     

  6. October 2002:  Lead/Zinc Mines in Kosovo (Serbia)
    On behalf of an agency of the United Nations, assess the feasibility of re-opening the base metal concentrators in this war-torn province.
     

  7. 2003 The Kemess North Project
    Process Development for a Feasibility Study.
     

  8. 2002 and ongoing:  The Nico Deposit of Fortune Minerals
    Process development for a cobalt/bismuth/gold deposit in the NW Territories.
    Feasibility study to be completed in 2006
     

  9. 2004 and ongoing, process development for several gold deposits in Vietnam for the Olympus Pacific Corporation.
     

  10. 2004 and ongoing:  process development for copper/nickel deposits on behalf of Canadian Royalties Inc.
     

  11. 2005 and ongoing:  process development for the Gossan Ores of the Las Cruces Deposit in Spain (Inmet)
